GAYA x Karmen case study
GAYA is the result of a meeting between Amélie Guicheney and Jacques Bonneville. Together, they decided to create the GAYA brand of electric bicycles, with the mission of making life easier for as many urbanites as possible, and helping to make cities calmer, more serene and healthier places to live. Their idea of the ideal bike is one that is sustainable and accessible to as many people as possible. It's a bike that adapts to everyone, to your very-too-long days, or to your very-trop-rock'n'roll rhythm as you juggle the kids, work, shopping, business meetings, aperitifs, soccer or yoga evenings... with the added bonus of low environmental impact.
After raising funds with Via ID and a Karmen financing package last May, which helped finance the company's deployment in major French cities and the relocation of its assembly and part of its production to France. Since this initial financing, Karmen has continued to support GAYA on a regular basis to finance its inventory needs and acquisition campaigns. With Karmen, GAYA can concentrate on its growth and finance its working capital requirements with financing tailored to its real needs.
Karmen understood GAYA's inventory challenges and proposed financing adapted to its business model. With Karmen's help, Amélie was able to obtain the cash advance she needed to finance her inventory, and no longer find herself in a sterile situation where the more her brand grew, the more her WCR increased.
By working with Karmen, e-commerce brands such as GAYA can concentrate on their core business without having to worry about cash flow issues, which can be particularly worrying. In less than 48 hours, Karmen can release funds to finance your cash flow projects in a fully digitized way, with no collateral requirements and no capital dilution.
