Pimp Up
Manon is co-founder of Pimp Up, a solution that saves fruit and vegetables from going to waste by creating baskets delivered to relay points in city centers. The company adds value to produce that has been excluded from conventional distribution channels for aesthetic or other reasons, transforming these "oddball" products into marketable baskets.
A need for acquisition financing
As a B2C subscription-based business, Pimp Up had ambitious customer acquisition targets for the year. The company wanted to diversify its acquisition channels and invest in paid advertising without draining its cash flow, knowing that their model was profitable thanks to a good understanding of customer retention and acquisition costs. Discovering RBF via Big de Montpellier, their incubator, they chose Karmen after a market benchmark.
Our response
Karmen provided two tranches of funding over 4-5 months, with rapid onboarding and direct debits via Stripe. This solution enabled Pimp Up to increase its subscriber base by 50% thanks to funded advertising campaigns, while supporting their geographic expansion from Montpellier to Toulouse. The second round of funding was used for lead generation and pre-opening marketing in Toulouse. The collaboration continues, enabling Pimp Up to grow without impacting cash flow thanks to rapidly repayable advances.
