Pierre Lévy, co-founder of Califrais eight years ago, discovered the potential of the Rungis market during his studies. Faced with the supply challenges faced by restaurateurs, he developed a platform enabling them to order all Rungis products with a single delivery at 6 a.m. the following day. The company made a name for itself with its tailor-made digital tools, even winning a bid against Amazon and Cdiscount to become rungismarket.com.
The need to finance growth
In the summer of 2022, with 45 employees and monthly sales of €550,000, Califrais was looking for non-dilutive financing following its partnership with Stef. The company, which held 80% of its capital, wished to avoid a traditional capital raising in order to preserve its operational autonomy.
Our response
